Steve’s public accounting experience includes working in the tax department of a “Big Five” accounting firm as well as an auditor at a regional accounting firm. Over the course of his career, he has held roles at the Accounting Manager, Controller, CFO, and Vice President level.
Steve is most proud of his military background. During his nine years of service to his country as an Air Force Officer he reached the rank of Captain and held the position of Comptroller. Steve founded this firm on similar core values he followed while serving; he has a strong belief in ethical standards and respect for those the firm serves.
Steve holds a CPA license from the state of Texas. He is also a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). His education includes a Master of Business Administration in Financial Management (MBA) from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of West Florida where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Steve is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®.
Steve values lifetime learning, he is furthering his education at Texas A&M Law School pursuing a Master of Legal Studies with a focus in Wealth Management.
A Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) is a certification for certified public accountants (CPAs) that allows them to expand their expertise and offerings to include financial planning and wealth management.
